Okeechobee Music Festival is upon us and it’s time to start preparing to enter the portal in Okeechobee, Florida. After a hiatus in 2019, the festival is ready to make an epic comeback with new ownership by Insomniac and some new changes that are sure to make it even better than before.

Electric Hawk has put together this guide to make your Okee experience easy and seamless with everything you need to know from camping to music to experiences you won’t want to miss out on. In addition to this guide, Electric Hawk has also put together the perfect playlist for your travels to Sunshine Grove. Featuring tracks from Vampire Weekend, Mersiv, Yung Bae, G Jones and more, we’re ready to dive into the portal.

Camping

Whether it’s your first camping festival or your hundredth camping festival, it’s always good to be prepared! In addition to your tent, air mattress, canopies, and everything else you need to survive in south Florida for three days, Okeechobee provides campers with tons of amenities to make camping that much more simple and fun.

This year, Okeechobee has color-coded the campgrounds on the map, making it easy for you to find your camping spot after you wander off into the Grove. Camping spots are first-come, first-serve, so make sure you arrive early and with your friends in order to get the best spot. The campgrounds will include water stations, shower stations, and vendors providing everything you need. Find a full guide to the campground here!

Chobeewobee Village

Chobeewobee Village is the place to go for anything and everything at Okee. It’s “an eclectic mix of immersive art, food & beverage, live performances, yoga classes, and wellness, and art workshops”. Here you can kick back in your hammock or catch a yoga class before you start your day or grab a quick bite before heading into the fest! An official Okeechobee app is coming soon with all the information you will need about the festival.

Music + Set Times

While you can plan out the sets you want to see all you want, keep in mind that those plans usually hit the fan the moment you step inside the venue. But, it’s still good to have an idea of who you want to see. Here at Electric Hawk, we are excited to see Rufus du Sol, Super Future, Wreckno, Bassnectar, Soul Clap and so many more. Official set times aren’t out yet, but keep an eye out on Okee’s socials for them!

But, one thing we do know, is who is playing on each stage. Okeechobee has eight stages in total, which you can explore here. Check out the post from Okeechobee below to see who is playing where. In addition to the stages, we now have information on late night set and who we will be dancing to all night long. See below for that info!

Giving Back To The Community

In addition to all the great things Okeechobee is doing for the festival-goers, the festival is also partnering up with multiple nonprofits in order to give back. Okeechobee’s 2020 Participation Row is an activism village, encouraging festival-goers to take position actions with these non-profit organizations. Some organizations include Martha’s House, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Healthy Start, Humane Society and more.
