We stan growth here at Electric Hawk. And dub queen NotLö has flexed hers yet again with her newest Evolve EP. With Evolve, NotLö takes us on a journey through space, time, and bass. From pin-balling bass lines and powerful drum fills on tracks like “Inbound,” to entrancing spacial synths and low ends that’ll knock your Doc’s off on title track “Evolve,” this EP has it all.
The Magical Mind Of NotLö
Alex Mantekas, the magical mind behind NotLö, has been part of the underground bass scene in Denver, C.O. for the better part of three years now. These three years have seen her grow from DJing at parties for friends to booking gigs at major festivals like Sonic Bloom.
Today’s NotLö has a laundry list of accolades. Among these are a hit collab with fellow rising star, Wreckno, in “The Püssy.” And guest mix episodes on 40oz Radio and our very own Electric Hawk Radio.
To say NotLö is championing her own story and on a serious glow up…would be a gross understatement. Because she’s done that and more. And with Evolve, NotLö can now add another chapter to her blossoming story. But don’t just take our word for it:

Title track “Evolve” encompasses the vibe of this project: full low ends, unique experimental sampling, and powerful drum hits and synth riffs. And, in her own words, “Evolve” also represents how far NotLö has come as a producer in the past year.
I wanna say the title track “Evolve” is my favorite.
I really put my heart and soul into it and every one of my friends said they could feel me in the song.
That was truly what I wanted to accomplish with my evolution in sound over the last year.

And we gotta say “Inbound” is a favorite of ours. The harrowing vocal chops tried to warn that we were in for a helluva ride. But just as soon as that happened, our heads were already spinning from the zig zagging bass lines.
And as if we weren’t already punch-drunk from all the low frequencies radiating through our bodies, “Antiem” kicked in next with some neck breaking downtempo vibes. Like damn…KEEP. IT. COMING. QUEEN.
Evolve For The Cause
Evolve is a certified hitta and you can expect we’ll have this EP on repeat for weeks on end. And no, we won’t just be streaming it. We’ll also be buying it.
All of the proceeds from both streaming AND Bandcamp downloads of this EP will be going directly to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. So we wan’t to make sure we support great music and a great cause as much as possible, and you should to.
So stream it, buy it, download it, bump it, drink it, eat it, and whatever else you can think of. We can enjoy and celebrate music, while still making sure we do our part to change the world for the better.
