Mindtality gives us a taste of his upcoming Refrakted LP with “Pullover.”
The up-tempo funky bass vibe that excites us on “Pullover” showcases another side of Mindtality’s work. We are familiar with the juicy down-tempo goodness off his Developmental Expedition LP from last year, so this release has us wondering what’s to come from the new LP. “Pullover,” along with other tracks on Refrakted, have been in Mindtality’s vault for some time now. But on April 13th our ears will finally be graced with the whole project!
This was one of those tracks that I made, and let it sit in the vault for a few months because it didn’t feel complete. After searching and searching for what seemed like months for a way to finalize the track, one night watching Cops on the TV, I heard the cop say “Pullover,” which made me think maybe that would work. After some searching and finding samples, I came across the perfect acapella to use, completing the track.Mindtality on “Pullover”
We are thankful Mindtality took his time to make “Pullover” all that it is today. The high-energy experimental bass tune is “inspired by the aspect of live performances and crowd engagement.” There is nothing more we would love than to see Mindtality captivate the crowd with this one… and hopefully, that can happen soon!
