We are in the midst of the final days leading up to Gem and Jam 2022. We can already feel the big crystal energy that will be radiating in the frigid Tucson desert. This Friday, we will embark on a unique journey of music and art for gem enthusiasts and festival goers of all kinds.
But, before we jump into getting prepped for the fest and what to expect, there are a few updates to touch on. With the natural ebbs and flows of this wild life, Gem and Jam has made some changes to their lineup.
Our beloved CharlestheFirst will be honored with a bittersweet set from his fellow Lab Group mates. We are so grateful for not only Gem and Jam for fulfilling all of our hopes, but also for potions being willing to celebrate his life with us all. After this past weekend’s memorial benefit for Charles, we all can see how special any future Lab Group sets will be.
In addition, it saddens us to say, Goopsteppa and Goldfish will no longer be performing. To take their places, Dirtwire and ATYYA will be getting down with us! Marcus Rezak and Space Whales will also be shredding the stage up this weekend.

Spotting Gems All Day
As you walk through the Pima County Fair Grounds you will be surrounded by gems, of course. The beauty that our Earth naturally supplies to us are what make up the magic of this fest. Alongside them, you can spot live painting action, participate in daily workshops, munch on the yummiest food, and wander amongst the many craft vendors.
Don’t underestimate Arizona. Definitely keep an eye on the weather to prep for the comfiest Gem and Jam experience. Days are typically sunny, warm, and oh so sweet. But, as night creeps in, the temps drop and the faux-fur coats come out to play!
Dancing to Jams All Night
Between four stages and a silent disco, there is bound to always be a set for you! And if you look closely at the set time, you will notice that Gem and Jam puts extra effort into making sure you won’t have many set conflicts. The Emerald stage is the queen of the festival; a massive outdoor setup that engulfs you into the music. The Onyx stage gives ultimate bass bumping warehouse vibes. For daytime hangouts and dancing, the Quartz stage is for you! And if you’re looking to support the most fire local artists, head to the Opal stage for the All the Homies takeover. Lastly, the Amythest stage is home to the daytime workshops and late-night silent disco.
We hope to jam with you this weekend at the 14th annual Gem and Jam. It is going to be a special one, that’s for sure! And if you’re on the fence – buy the ticket, take the trip, live it up!
