Quarantine sucks, but one of the best things about being stuck in quarantine is all this amazing music that we’re getting to listen to. Enter Excision and Illenium with “Feel Something” the sad boi headbanger tune.

Track Breakdown

The song takes you on a trip through all the feels. Excision and Illenium team up with metalcore band I Prevail on the tune. The song begins with the guitar chords and somber vocals progressing into the chorus sang by Mr. Brian Burkheiser. “I’d do anything, just to feel something”. Yeah, those lyrics are definitely gonna slap the emotion out of you.

Drop number one is definitely the warm-up drop, preparing you for what’s to come. The guitar riffs start to come alive heading into drop two, as the riser pulses through the speakers. You know what’s coming, but it’s not what you are expecting. Eric Vanlerberghe screams in your ear as the bass comes in hot as heck. The bass is something to admire, as it rises and blends into a very delicious masterpiece of sounds.

Eric screams at you one more time and we love it. The last drop is a vibe check. The third drop added in with the amazing guitar riffs and emotional lyrics, I can say we have a bop. One of the most unique parts of these drops is the vocals. The “WOAAAAHHHHOOOOO” In the background echoes throughout the song and it resonates throughout your body giving you chills.

Listen to “Feel Something” Here:

Two years ago the duo released “Gold” which was a certified bop. Since that year, both artists strapped on rockets and went to the moon with their music and show production. Last year they went B2B at Lost Lands which saw the debut of “Feel Something” closing out the fest. At the same time that song was playing, a baby dinosaur was born.

No matter when this song was supposed to come out, we are glad that it came out during a time where many people are at a time of need. To listen to new music, live streams, and whatever else to support artists and yourself is what matters right now. Please be safe, listen to music, tune into live streams, drink water, and stay healthy!
