Happy Monday folks, hope you all had a great weekend! I was blasting that new Dirt Monkey track, “Purpose,” and it was totally what I needed to face the week ahead! Dropping on his very own label 19k, Dirt Monkey shows out his wobble master skills.

First things first, spin that ‘ish:

An anthem for any listener.

As soon as the song starts, we are met with a colorful and poppy melody. Then the melodies are saturated with the exquisite vocals of Christian Acamo, giving them more purpose and raw feeling. Distant synth works mesh oh-so-lovely with her voice and bring a fast-rising beat into focus. The high energy galvanizes the listener and sets the tone for the rest of the journey.

Dirt Monkey creates a soundscape that gives an emotionally nostalgic feel, yet makes you get dooown with some trademark wobbles. Combined with the dazzling vocals from Christian, “Purpose” takes you through peaks and valleys of sound and wonder. All while still retaining the dynamic sound of Dirt Monkey. The 19k label leader is truly a master of his craft and a wonderful songwriter.

I can’t wait to hear Dirt Monkey play “Purpose” on a proper sound rig!
