Cyber G launches to the “Edge of the Earth” and beyond
On March 21st, heavy-hitting producer and touring act Cyber G releases “Edge Of The Earth,“ the final track to complete his Nuclear Attack EP. This extended production showcases a versatile sound design reminiscent of early American dubstep and wonky bass drops. While nostalgic, this body of work also skillfully utilizes textures and a full range of layered sounds. This final track caps off the EP with an atomic bang. Decidedly, the tracks of Nuclear Attack EP are a weapon many iconic touring acts will wield in sets this upcoming festival season. “Edge of the Earth” transports us into hyperspace and beyond with its suspenseful buildups and enthralling drops. This ideal finish to a powerful album confidently declares Cyber G’s intent on casting waves through the electronic music community.
“Edge of the Earth” Inspiration
On the inspiration behind the creation of Nuclear Attack and the vision for “Edge of the Earth,” Cyber G said:
“The inspiration behind ‘Nuclear Attack’ EP and ‘Edge of the Earth’ was to create a body of work that fully captures my sound while delivering bangers built for live experiences. The whole EP themes around space, giving it a cinematic and otherworldly feel.”
Throughout his career, Cyber G paid homage to his inspiration from many predecessors and peers. His sound and style reflect a diverse array of styles and flavors. However, the creation of this album, honed in on Cyber G’s very own personal sound signature and process. On this, he is quoted:
“This EP is the first body of work where I feel like I’ve truly showcased my sound. It’s a fusion of everything I love with massive bass, intricate sound design, and an experimental energy.”
Onward and Upward
Historically, Cyber G sets emit sustained high energy and magnetically attract audience members. Dancing crowds reflect radiant energy brought forth as his sets build. When asked how “Edge of the Earth” affects audiences in recent touring and festival set history, he shared that:
“Every time I’ve rinsed ‘Edge of the Earth’ live, the crowd reaction has been insane. Whether it’s a national tour stop or a major festival, this track has never let me down.”
Previously, three tracks of the EP: “The Secret Weapon,” “The Lunatic,” and “Gun Party” premiered as singles with Headbang Society, The Dropz, and This Song Is Sick respectively. All three amassed considerable praise and listenership across streaming platforms. The post-apocalyptic imagery encompassed within this album eerily parallels the modern global climate and our collective uncertainty about the future of human civilization. This imagery is conveyed tastefully through the cathartic and universally enjoyed medium of music. Additionally, considering this familiarity, Nuclear Attack explores thematics, sounds, and storytelling of universes situated far outside our planetary atmosphere and timeline.
With the release of “Edge of the Earth,” completing the Nuclear Attack EP, and many live sets upcoming, the Cyber G project’s trajectory aims for the stars. The artist casts his gaze ahead, commenting that:
“There are some big things in the works that I can’t announce just yet, but 2025 is shaping up to be a big year.”
